Introduction

Are you able to see beyond what your current circumstances suggest?

Well, if we want to achieve something we’ve never done, we need to start doing things we’re not used to — and that requires walking by faith.

Many people struggle to attain more than they’re norm because what they’re used to and have evidence of, sets the bar for their subconscious expectations.

Unless we’ve experienced it for ourselves, we often struggle to truly believe that it’s possible for us.

We frequently fail to recognise that we’ve already been given the blueprint for what success requires.

In most cases, others have already achieved what we aspire to accomplish, offering clear evidence that it’s possible.

Even if our aspirations are uncommon, every concept and idea was once the only one of its kind.

Jesus said in Matthew 17:20, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, and you say to this mountain be thou removed to yonder place, and it shall be removed.

You may only have faith the size of a grain, but the beauty is — that’s all you need.

The Core Principle — Belief

Our experience and perception of life is determined by our beliefs.

If we believe we can’t, we won’t; and if we believe we can, we will.

Our belief system drives our actions, both consciously and subconsciously.

However, what we believe at a subconscious level often has a greater influence on our lives than we might realise.

Think of it this way.

Your conscious mind is your manual mind, while your subconscious mind is your automatic mind.

The beliefs we establish through our manual mind directly shape the output of our automatic mind.

To benefit from our automatic mind, which is responsible for our life outcomes, we must intentionally and purposefully guide it through our manual mind.

To do this, we must elevate our thinking, consistently encouraging thoughts that are reflective of our anticipated outcomes.

It’s imperative that we learn to see things as though they are, even when they’re not.

That’s what ‘now’ faith is.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen: Hebrews 11:1.

This practice is what sets people apart.

Most are unable to see beyond their current limitations because they’re driven by what they see in front of them.

Those who achieve outcomes beyond their norm, are driven by what they believe in spite of what they can physically see in the present.

To move our lives beyond the norm, we must be driven by what we believe, and ensure those beliefs align with the outcomes we anticipate — no matter how unfamiliar they may seem.

Similarly, our actions in the present must reflect the future we expect, because faith alone is not enough.

James 2:26 actually states that ‘faith without works is dead’.

It wasn’t until I began acting on my faith that the importance of this scripture truly came to life for me.

Faith in Motion

When we apply our faith in practice, we feed the strength of our belief.

Even if we begin with little faith, our actions will nurture that seed, allowing it to grow in strength and become unshakeable.

Once it becomes unshakeable, it will take hold of every aspect of our thinking, behaviour, and actions — until it ultimately produces the outcomes we desire.

We move from trying to convince ourselves, to living with conviction — and once we’re convicted about our beliefs, what once seemed impossible feels attainable.

The iPhone once seemed like an impossible invention when we didn’t have them, yet the vision, faith, and actions of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak brought it to life.

Their belief in the vision outweighed the absence of the product’s existence, and the actions they took made it reality.

Summary

Don’t wait to be ready before you act — there will never be a perfect opportunity.

Act on the little faith you have with things as they are now, and if you remain consistent and grow as you learn, you will move your life beyond your current limits.
