Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)

Sharing My PMDD Journey, To Encourage (and Educate) Others

Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder is a severe and debilitating version of PMS (pre menstrual syndrome).

Whilst PMS is more commonly known, and experienced by a large number of menstruating women, PMDD is experienced by just a small percentage.

Overall, there’s still a lot of us.

The condition was the bane of my life for years.

Aside the life problems I experienced, it was an unfortunate addition affecting me to the point I’d experience suicidal thoughts with each monthly episode.

Reality star Vicky Pattison, came out and shared her own experience here and gives a great account of what it’s like to live with.

I won’t go into too much detail here as I’ve done this within my blog posts but I will say, despite the condition, I’ve found a way to enjoy life regardless as I speak of in the below 14-minute video.

The severity of the symptoms are nothing like they were in the past. It no longer controls me, I control it.

The ability to fight such a detrimental condition is what provoked me to share my story and encourage others.

The symptoms experienced are similar to those most people will go through at some point in life.

Whether you have the condition or any other mental health difficulty, it doesn’t have to define you.

The below button, will take you to my PMDD blog posts.

The future rewards those who press on. I don't have time to feel sorry for myself. I don't have time to complain. I'm going to press on.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.
